TIP: Matrixing
Welcome to the Para Investigation Tech-Tip (PITT). In this section, we will post some of the techniques and tips we use when conducting paranormal investigations. The purpose of the PITT is to share some of the techniques that we have experimented and have proven to be successful on the field. The PITT will also offer some tips and advice that we have for investigating the paranormal. This section's tip will be on the subject of Matrixing.

Matrixing is a term commonly used within the paranormal community when the mind sees a familiar form in a particular image. One example of this would be seeing a shape in a cluster of clouds such as a form of a rabbit. This natural tendency is not only visual, but also audible.

Most of the pictures that we receive from guests who would like Geist Research to analyze their picture suffers from this. Usually the picture is of a forest or a bush. The image to the left is a perfect example of matrixing. Some have claimed to see a man wearing a hat coming out of the bark of the tree. Although it may be obvious to some, the image of the man in the tree is not paranormal in nature at all. It is simply a coicidence and the shape is mostlikely caused by the lighting, angle, and the distance of when the picture was taken.

If you have a particular technique or tip you use when on an investigation, tell us about it. Your technique or tip may be published on the PITT and credited to you and/or your organization.
